Glenpool High School Senior Saniya Craven sets new record in 5A Girls 100 meter dash final

Glenpool High School’s Saniya Craven flew past the competition on Saturday, winning the Class 5A girls 100-meter dash and breaking her own state record from last year at the 2026 OSSAA 5A/6A Track and Field State Championship at Western Heights High School.

Craven came into the state meet as one of Oklahoma’s premier runners and proved it Saturday during championship finals. After running 11.08 seconds in Friday’s prelims, the Glenpool senior came back in Saturday’s final and crossed the line in 11.10 seconds to claim the state championship and set a new state record for the event which was held by her the previous year. Her previous and state record was 11.67.

Carven was followed by Noble High School’s Jenna Eby with a time of 11.81, and Pryor High School’s Journey Nunley wit a time of 11.90.
