Oklahoma Sooners Football ranked No. 9 in Preseason Coaches Poll

As the 2026 college football season nears, the Oklahoma Sooners are ranked No. 9 in the US LBM Preseason Coaches Poll which was released Tuesday, August 4th. Oklahoma is lead by 5th year head coach Brent Venables.

OU is one of nine Southeastern Conference teams ranked in this year’s preseason coaches poll and is fourth among SEC teams. Georgia is ranked No. 3, Texas No. 4, Texas A&M No. 8, Ole Miss No. 10, Alabama No. 11, LSU No. 13, Tennessee No. 18 and Missouri No. 25.

Oklahoma begins play on Friday, September 4th and tickets are on sale now.
