Douglass’ Adarius Tubbs Wins 2026 OSSAA 5A Boys Long Jump State Title

Douglass High School senior Adarius Tubbs delivered a championship performance Friday at the 2026 OSSAA 5A/6A State Track & Field Championships, winning the Class 5A boys long jump with a mark of 22 feet, 4 inches.

Competing at Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City, Tubbs entered the state meet as the top seed in the event and backed it up on the biggest stage. His jump gave Douglass a state championship moment and capped off one of the strongest long jump performances in Class 5A this season.

Tubbs finished ahead of a strong field. Kenyon Gabriel of Macarthur placed second with a jump of 21-9.75, Brody Bowring of Blanchard High School finished third at 21-8.25 and Tajman Nichelson of East Central finished fourth at 21-8.

For Douglass, Tubbs’ win adds another highlight to a strong state meet presence and gives the Trojans a standout field event champion in one of Class 5A’s premier events.
