6A Girls Shot Put 2025

A sunny mild morning in Oklahoma City at Western Heights High School saw many parents, family and friends gather around the campus stadium for the 2025 OSSAA 5A/6A State Track and Field competition. Many gathered for the long jump, races, high jump and pole vault, but that action was at the 6A Girls Shot Put where Moore High School’s Libby Jaques, Tulsa Union’s Carly Borgelt, and Broken Arrow’s Angelique Carter went head to head for the title.

After the dust cleared from the shot put ball hitting the ground Moore’s Libby Jaques was named champion with a 47-3 followed by Union’s Carly Borgelt with 43-5 and Broken Arrow’s Angelique Carter 44-11.50. Libby Jaques also set a meet record with her number and set the tone for the coming year.
